Flamingo party

It was my birthday on Friday, I held a little party in celebration.

I found the best cocktails sticks I have ever seen(who knew they made plastic shaped ones!) so they had to be part of the shindig. There were a few sword fights, but no one got hurt!

I made tissue paper decorations and added ribbons to balloons to add more colour to the room (like it needed any more going on!!)

I found some fabulous wigs in the pound shop so I had to give them a go and these fantastic glasses in primark. It was a fantastic couple of days (I had my family over on Saturday for party round 2) There was lots of food and some very bad dancing from me!

Happy birthday!

Happy birthday to my sister -  she is 30 today and this is the little picture I made her! She has not had a very good few days, they have been spent in bed not very well. Hope you get better soon and we will celebrate properly when you have!

Birthday!

It was my birthday a few weeks ago and we had just come back from Barcelona. I was treated to a birthday lunch - red pepper and walnut tart, it was delicious!

On the walk home I stopped for a rest (we had purchased a bedside table and had been carrying it home!) secretly wanting a go on the swings - my wish was granted!

It is more difficult than you would imagine to take a picture mid swing!
I got the Kirstie Allsopp craft book - I have already looked through it a couple of times and am just trying to decide what to attempt first!

In the evening it I had my request of homemade pizza (photo still on my camera!) Then came Birthday number 2 the day after - a trip in to town with my mum and a new haircut (just wish I could make it look like that myself!)

Birthdays and pyjamas!

This is my new crochet book. I got it for my birthday and the cow is my favourite one (I think anyway - there is a lot to choose from and I do love the dragon!)
I just have to start - do I finish the crochet blanket and ripple blanket first or go diving into the animals?

And this is a little snap of my new PJ's. I love PJ's and could wear them all day! They were a bargain at £2! I have got 4 new pairs in the sales, I was running low - honest!
