A little stitching - monthly make

My most recent make - I was escaping football and thought stitching would be a good thing to do - I wanted something that I could finish there and then and was fun - this is what I came up with! No idea what I am going to do with it!!

Craft idea to reality and February monthly make

I wanted to make something else to go in my etsy and folksy shops, an idea for a little lion had been rumbling around for a while so this morning I started to give it a go. Above is my first attempt - I liked it but it wasn't quite right, Manny agreed - it's face looks a it like a bear! So on to attempt number 2, we both agreed the colours and materials were much better than the first but the legs need reshaping - and he needs a tail, Manny added.

So on to attempt number 3 - well I think i have got the head right - not bear like, and now there is a tail and the colours all work, only one problem - his body is too long! Not sure how I managed that! Oh well I reckon attempt number 4 will be spot on, then expect a few new additions to the shops!  

I managed to pick up this little cast iron frying pan from a charity shop, I had only been talking about wanting one on Thursday and then on a spur of the moment trip in to town and a pop in to the charity shops I found this - very happy!

So this weekend was my turn to use our cook books and try something new - I chose from Hugh's veg everyday book again and went with chachouka! It was very simple and very tasty, I add some veg, asparagus and mini sweetcorn on the side and some fresh bread and grated cheese. It went down very well!

Monthly make 2012

I've joined in the Monthly make 2012. I hope that I will have more than one thing a month to show you - this is part of my resolutions this year anyway! More on those another day!

Here is Januarys make - made out of necessity, a new camera bag for my new camera! I'm off o my hols soon and so purchased a new camera and I didn't like/couldn't afford any of the camera cases out there. So I set to making my own. I am very pleased with it, never made anything like this before and I managed to hide all messy bits!! 

I made it using old material I had, purple cord and a pink fleece to keep the camera nice and snug inside! Once I have got the hang of the camera, hopefully you will see a difference in the photos i upload onto here!!

Monthly Make

Very nearly posted late this month but I am just in time!! Sorry for the rubbish photo and also the IVECO sign isn't mine - i rent my flat and haven't got round to checking if it is OK to remove yet!

Above is my christmas sale gift to myself, you may not know but reindeer's are my favourites!!

I also have an obsession with tupperware so this was perfect!! I made a little nibble lunch in it for the next day at work - surprising how eating satsuma from a pot is much nicer than just peeling one and eating in!!

Here is this months - a monthly make for 2011 this was just a little experiment but my nephew enjoyed it!! I am hoping I will get the chance to make something else this month as well!
